Ural Mountains
Ural Mountains are an extensive mountain area (height to 1900м), dividing Europe and Asia. The Ural mountains are extended from the north on the south more than on two thousand kilometres.
Southern Ural Mountains
It is the widest part of Ural Mountains. For east slopes the forest-steppe with numerous lakes is characteristic, the western slopes to height 1200м are covered by wood, in a southern part - steppe. In July and August here the clearest and warm weather. On the western slope the karstic phenomena are developed. Area it is occupied densely enough, developed railway and an automobile communication.
Average Ural Mountains
It is the narrowest and low (to 1000) a part of Ural Mountains. The area is in a zone of coniferous woods (a fur-tree, a pine, a larch). Average Ural Mountains the transport network, the industry is densely occupied, developed, business tourism is widely developed.
Northern Ural Mountains
This area is wider and is high, than Average Ural Mountains (to 1600). The area settles down in the mountain zone covered with woods. The climate is more severe. The area is a little occupied. In woods it is a lot of berries and mushrooms, in the rivers fish is well caught. Tourist routes pass on not occupied district in the conditions of full autonomy.
Subpolar Ural Mountains
It is the highest area of Ural Mountains. In the central part of Subpolar Ural Mountains the highest tops of Ural Mountains - National (1894) and Karpinsky (1876) are located. The area lies in a wood zone, but the wood border is at height of 400-600 m. Wood basically coniferous, is closer to wood border the larch prevails. A climate of Subpolar Ural Mountains even more severe. Density of population of area a low, transport network is developed poorly. Tourist routes pass on not occupied district.
Polar Ural Mountains
The width of a strip of mountains decreases, decreases height of mountains. The most part of tops has height to 1000 m, height of passes of 300-400 m. the Considerable part of area lies in a tundra zone. The area climate is very severe, the summer lasts from the middle of July to the middle of August. The area is occupied very poorly. Expeditions are spent in the conditions of full autonomy.

Prominent feature of a relief of Ural Mountains is presence of ancient surfaces of the alignment lifted on different height.
